Kids are thinking and not memorizing with the new multiplication table. They can find the product of any numbers from 1 to 10 in two ways:

If I want to find how much is 3 X 4= ? I put one finger on 3 and the other on 4 and move them one vertically and one horizontally until I find where they meet. If I do that I will see that they meet at 12. So 3 x 4 = 12.

By moving the "ruler" over the wooden surface

The ruler can be removed from the table.
